AVID Night

Join us for AVID Night at CMA
Thursday, October 28, 6:00-7:30

Bring the family and join us for a fun evening while we learn more about the AVID program and Project Lead the Way.  We are very fortunate to be the only elementary level school in Wichita that offers both of these amazing programs.  A free chili dinner will be served from 6:00-7:00pm, and a variety of college and career booths will be set up in the gym from 6:00-7:30pm.  A program will run in the Auditorium every 15 minutes to explain both AVID and Project Lead the Way so that you leave with a better understanding of why we feel so fortunate to have both of these proven programs at CMA.  Please plan to wear your favorite college gear and join us for a fun and informative evening.

Welcome to McAuliffe K-8 Academy
Christa McAuliffe was a public school teacher from New Hampshire who was selected to become the first teacher in space.  Her energy and love for students and teaching made her an outstanding educator.   The possibilities are endless as to how we can incorporate her character traits,  love of science, and helping students make real life connections with the skills they are learning in our classrooms.
For a more-detailed biography of Christa McAuliffe, click on the Bio link on the left side of our page.

Christa McAuliffe is located just north of Pawnee on 143rd Street East.
